When you think of the Academy awards red carpet, you think multi million dollar jewelry, diamonds galore, and crazy expensive gowns. What you might not think of is the reasonable retailer and one of my favorites… H&M. Well, Helen Hunt sure did! That’s right, the actress chose the retailer for her red carpet moment and believe it or not, looked astonishingly similar to the look Reese Witherspoon chose, by Louis Vuitton. Quite the price point difference right?! So, what do you think? To spend or not to spend when it comes to the red carpet?

The Academy Awards red carpet is THE red carpet. Everyone pulls out all the stops and glamour is on display at its highest level. This year was no exception and I was in love with so many! Feminine elegance was the main theme running through everyone’s choices. So many of the dresses seemed to be the epitome of the ethereal, girlie ensembles we dreamt of as little girls. These ladies are no doubt looking their best on Hollywood’s biggest night!

Well hello my lovely, long lost readers! I have missed you dearly. I apologize for my absence but please allow me to catch you up! My dear husband and I have packed up and moved to sunny Florida and I also embarked on my most exciting adventure yet…motherhood! I gave birth in December to the most precious little boy, Cannon. He brings us more joy than we ever thought possible. So to say I’ve had my hands full is an understatement, and the future of this blog will probably contain some baby fashion every now and then!

With summer drawing to a close, we can’t help but be a little sad to put away our favorite beach wear. What I can almost certainly bet is that none of you are having to pack away your “face-kinis”. That’s right. A bikini for your face. In case you missed it…I said, a bikini for your FACE. In China, they are not huge fans of getting a tan, hence this weird invention. It’s a little spooky if you ask me. I think I’ll stick with my SPF.
Remember friendship bracelets? Who doesn’t?! Always fun to receive, and especially fun to make. I remember weaving countless little bracelets for friends when I was younger. Well, while we don’t really go around braiding jewelry for our besties anymore it’s still fun to carry on the trend in a glamorous little way. So exciting to see the ever popular Toy Watch brand come out with their own version of the “friendship watch”. How adorable is this? And what a perfect late summer to early fall transitional piece for your everyday arm party!

I absolutely adore the fall! It is without a doubt my favorite season, so it’s always around this time of year I start to get super excited for the upcoming months. The holidays, the crisper weather, and oh the clothes! All the fabulous fall ads are beginning to come out and I am loving them. My favorite, the Louis Vuitton ad! It’s like a glamorous combination of Downton Abbey and a Mad Hatter tea party. I just can’t get enough of it and I love the theme it is evoking for the up and coming season!

It’s no secret that I love the Coach brand. I even worked for them for a short time after college. {SO fun and might I add!}. While the bags are yes, priced high…it just makes you more appreciative of a good online sale, a Christmas present, or even a trip to the outlets. The quality of the bags are great, and they are completely timeless. Now while my personal bags are mostly on the neutral side…yes I do consider pink a neutral so for anyone who knows my bag collection, that particular bag is now explained. 
So even though I gravitate towards the more simple when making my own purchases, I am completely head over heels in love with the latest tote collection from this fabulous brand. The “Colorblock Candace” is their latest creation and it just screams everything that IS fall perfection! While it does come in a wonderful array of neutral colors, I am mostly drawn to the few that are a little more out of the box.
