Shopping to Save

For those of you who are fans of the Bachelor and Bachelorette…or better yet, fans of the cute outfits that pop up on each of these shows, I have some great news for you! Ebay has teamed up with some of the ladies (and gents!) of America’s favorite dating reality show to help raise money for the American Red Cross. How are they doing this you might ask? By selling their designer duds of course! Have you been dying over Emily Maynard’s cute Forever 21 romper from one of her dates with Brad? How about getting the chance to buy the exact same one, and better yet… all for a good cause! Keeping in mind it’s all for charity, get ready to drop over $100 for a Forever 21 item that used to be $15.95. Here are a few of the major items that are up for grabs. And you can find the entire selection here. You can find all kinds of goodies from clothes, to shoes and jewelry! The sale is only going on for a few more days so if you find something you can’t live without, act fast! Happy Shopping! {photos courtesy of Ebay}

Shopping with the Bachelorette

From day one this season of the Bachelorette has proven to be quite the roller coaster….of both emotion and fashion. Little miss Polly Pocket Ashley has some great choices…and some unfortunate super intense flashbacks to 1993 when belly shirts were still in. Alas, my friend Sonja told me how cute she thought one of Ashley’s dresses were last night and it got me thinking…she did have a super cute episode, and we should talk about it! Thanks Sonja! {see…contact me and I can better know what you would like to read about!}

Probably my favorite from the evening was Ashley’s pink blouse from the first one on one date. I can’t say the same for the skirt, as I’ve never been a fan of the high waisted skirt anything, but here’s the problem. It’s a skirt/shirt combo dress. So there’s no loosing that high waisted mess. Here is a similar look, at Zara. The fitted waist band makes for simple tucking in to just about anything… In exchange for the cute pleated detailing in the back of Ashley’s dress, this top has the little bow extras on the shoulders, as well as an accentuated zipper back… love!

I loved Ashley’s pink and black zebra dress. What a fun outfit! Ashley loves some zebra print… Remember the promo pic for the show:

Sadly, the exact one that Ashley wore is out of stock. Never fear! I found this adorable one shoulder zebra dress that is equally just as fun.

What does Ashley love more than zebra print and teeny tiny shirt dresses? Rompers! You can’t blame the girl…I, along with my 2 year old niece, am slightly obsessed. I’m glad to finally share that with a fellow 20 something. Last night Ashley donned two super cute ones.

The first, a long pant, crazy print strapless number. Here is a similar one from the always faithful and always pocket book friendly, Forever 21.

The second romper, some may say it was a little too out there, but if you know me at all by now, you know I loved it. Sadly, the actual one Ms. Ashley wore is a little over $300, and cute as it might be, I just can’t justify that one. Drool away…

I have the perfect solution! Short romper? Check! Ruffles? Check! Off the shoulder action? Check! Check! Enter this Guess ruffle romper!

 Happy shopping! And remember, if there’s a celeb outfit you’d like to copycat, or a trend you’d like me to talk about, be heard in the comments section, or message me on Facebook!

Find that Look: Jillian Harris

Now that I’ve recently divulged my secret for loving all things reality tv, I feel like this is a safe place to talk about how much I am a fan of Jillian Harris, of the Bachelorette fame. The perky Canadian interior designer is also a fabulous fashionista and I love to follow her fashion sense. Case in point today. The perfect “work-y” type outfit that is still bright and perfect for summer.

First let’s talk about that adorable blazer. The key to a good one is fit, fit, fit. You don’t want to look like you borrow your man’s. Blazers are not meant to be frumpy, but sleek and sassy. The white color is perfect for summer.

Since it is summer, you want to make sure you love the look of your top sans the blazer. A top in a lightweight material like this one is also key.

If you are going to tuck in your shirt, you have to have a very specific type of jean. Not too high wasted, and not too low-rise. For that style I love Citizen.

Skinny belts are perfect for tucking a cute top in. It doesn’t take too much away from the outfit and no girl wants anything too much added to her waistline.
