As modern as I am, I adore country music. And whether you do or not, I’m sure you can appreciate my best dressed list from the evening of this week’s CMT Awards. The event was hosted by Kristen Bell who has made her way to my list not once, but twice! With multiple outfit changes, while I didn’t love them all, on here you’ll find two that I adored. With a music awards red carpet, you just never know what you are going to get. However, with this year’s Billboard Music Awards, I was pleasantly surprised. At least for the most part… you know there’s always a couple crazies in every crew! Between gowns that I am severely jealous of {hello Carrie!!}, beautiful makeup {hello Zooey!!}, and super funky fun hair {hello Lacey!!}. Red Carpet Favorites: The ACM Awards

While it may not have the high glamour of the Academy Awards, the ACM’s at least don’t have the tacky craziness of a show like the Grammy’s. Two years ago I had the pleasure of attending this awards show with my dear friend, so it will always hold a special place in my heart! My personal favorite of the night had to be Jennifer Nettles. I adore the neon belt and I love how the beautiful pink bleeds into various shades of glorious springtime!

Red Carpet Favorites: The Grammy Awards

Sometimes you just never know what you will get from a Grammy red carpet. But this one actually left me quite delighted. I had a solid set of gowns I absolutely adored. Of course, it still is the Grammys so there was also a large set of complete crazies…you can be sure this week’s Weird Wednesday will be chock full of some nutty red carpet looks! For now, let’s focus on the glamor of the evening. I was head over heels for so many of the outfits! The colors, the high necklines, and oh the sequins! How fairy tale like was Katy Perry? And how precious was Joy Williams of the Civil Wars, all decked out with her baby bump? Who did you love from this Grammy night?

Red Carpet Favorites: CMA Awards

It’s time for some red carpet moments! And even though I’m about as country as the Brooklyn Bridge, I am married to a sweet southern gentleman and boy do I love country music…. So of course I love the CMA awards! Although not as high fashion as say, the Academy Awards, I still love a little glitz and glam on that classic carpet!

Weird Wednesday: Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Nicki Minaj has made quite the bold hair statement. I’m always one to give props where props are due, but I can honestly only give her props in the form of headliner of a Weird Wednesday post.

If you’ll remember, Nicki is no stranger to the odd hairstyle.

In a word? BAM! Girls got guts. I’m not gonna lie. I have seriously debated dying small portions of my hair some ridiculously fun color. Ok, not so much a fun color, but pretty much just pink. Not the whole thing, just a streak here or there. Think Carrie Underwood during her duet with Mr. Steven Tyler.

Seeing as I’m not a popstar, I will probably be sticking with my usual flip flopping between blonde and brunette. But you never know, I may sneak one teeny hot pink streak in there someday!
